Burrell Drive Wastewater Renewal Project

The Wooten Neighborhood was developed in the 1950s and 1960s, which means the pipes that support this great neighborhood are OLD! As part of improving the City’s infrastructure, through  Renewing Austin, the City of Austin has begun a project to replace 2,315 linear feet of wastewater main lines and 534 linear feet of water main lines that run through Burrell Drive.

This project will commence will begin in late 2024 and will take 14 months to complete. The City held an a meeting on the project on September 19 to discuss the project and its impact on the neighborhood. The presentation is below.
